Customers will need to provide their Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card information to set up their payment plan. After completing these steps, they can finalize their order. It is important to note that all items in the shopping cart must be eligible for Afterpay, and the total amount of the cart must be at least $100 to qualify for this payment option.
Where and by whom:
Afterpay is exclusively available for purchases made on the official Obagi.com website. This payment option is not offered for transactions conducted in physician offices or at PremierShopMD locations.
Additionally, Afterpay is only available to customers who have a billing address, shipping address, and mobile phone number located within the United States. Customers must also use a U.S.-issued Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card. Unfortunately, international customers do not qualify to use Afterpay for their purchases.
Payment schedule & defaults:
The payment plan begins with the first installment due immediately at the time of purchase. The remaining three payments are then automatically charged to the customer’s card every two weeks, making it easy to manage payments without manual intervention.
Customers also have the flexibility to make early payments if they wish to pay off their balance ahead of schedule. This can be done by logging into their Afterpay account and selecting the option to pay early.
In the event that a scheduled payment fails—for example, due to insufficient funds—customers may be subject to late fees as outlined in Afterpay’s policies. It is important to ensure that payments are made on time to avoid these additional charges.
Order delivery & timing:
Orders placed using Afterpay are processed and shipped according to the same timelines as standard orders made on Obagi.com. This means there is no delay in shipping when choosing Afterpay as the payment method, and customers can expect their products to arrive within the usual delivery timeframe.
Spending limits & eligibility:
To use Afterpay, the minimum total amount of the shopping cart must be at least $100. This threshold ensures that the payment plan is practical and manageable for both the customer and Afterpay.
Obagi may also impose approval limits on Afterpay transactions. This means that Afterpay itself evaluates each purchase and determines the maximum amount a customer is allowed to spend using their service, based on their internal criteria.
It is important to note that gift cards and electronic gift cards (eGift Cards) are not eligible for purchase using Afterpay. Customers will need to use an alternative payment method for these items.
Returns & refunds:
Purchases made with Afterpay follow the standard return and exchange policies of Obagi. If a customer wishes to return or exchange an item, they must submit their request through Obagi’s usual return form, just as they would with any other order.
