Troubleshooting a Dead System or Blank Thermostat

If your HVAC system is completely unresponsive or your thermostat screen is blank, please follow these steps before requesting service:

1. Check your breaker panel: Ensure the breaker for your indoor and outdoor units has not tripped.

2. Check the thermostat batteries: If your thermostat uses batteries, replace them.

3. Storm Damage / Power Surges: If your system stopped working immediately following a lightning storm or power outage, do not attempt to reset the system multiple times. Power surges frequently short out sensitive electrical components like the main control board.

Scheduling a Technician: If the breaker and batteries are fine, you will need a diagnostic visit. Our dispatch team prioritizes complete system failures and storm damage for next-available appointments. A certified technician is required to diagnose high-voltage control board failures safely.
